What Level Is Right For Your Player?

Depending on your child's age and previous experience, they may be eligible to play on different level teams

T-Ball

Ages 4-7

  • Ages 4-7 years old
  • Basic fielder assignments
  • Base running basics
  • Batting stance/grip
  • Basic catching zones
  • Fielding grounders
  • Proper ball grip
  • Proper throw
  • Playing catch correctly

Minors A - Machine Pitch

  • Ideal for 6-7 year old with t-ball experience
  • Machine or coach PitchFirst Time player 8 year old may be eligible
  • Improve T-Ball concepts
  • Comfort with hard ball
  • Force outs vs. tag outs
  • Intermediate base running & decisions
  • Intermediate fielder assignments
  • Defensive situational awareness

Minors AA

Ages 7-10

  • Recommended for 8-9 year olds
  • First time players who are 10 may be eligible
  • Advanced 7 year olds may be eligible
  • Player pitching
  • Improve Single A concepts
  • More advanced base running & decisions
  • More advanced fielder assignments
  • Basic load in sync with live pitcher (gentle coach-pitch)
  • Defensive situational awareness

Minors - AAA

Ages 8-10

  • Ideal for 9-10 yer olds
  • Advanced 8 year olds may be eligible
  • Improve Youth concepts
  • Catching fly balls/basic OF skills
  • Moving to field ground balls
  • Extra base hits and base running/sliding
  • Pitch selection
  • Catcher position & safety
  • Cutoffs/relays
  • Tagging up

Majors

Ages 9-12

  • Ideal for player 10-12 years old
  • advnced 9 year olds may be eligible
  • Improve Minors concepts
  • Comfort hitting faster pitching
  • Secondary leads/steals
  • Reading passed balls & batted balls
  • Improve cuts/relays
  • Intermediate catcher skills
  • Proper tagging of runners at bases
  • Reading signs
  • Managing at-bats
  • Basic pitching mechanics & grips (2-seam, 4-seam, changeup)
